David Dash, assistant principal trumpet, was a member of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band and the first-call substitute for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra prior to his appointment with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. He was also a member of the award-winning brass quintet the Bay Street Brassworks. Dash was a Moy Fellow at the Attergau Orchestra Institute in Austria and a fellow at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival.

While studying at the Manhattan School of Music, he was also a freelancer in the NY/NJ/CT area, performing with groups including the Astoria Symphony, New England Symphonic Ensemble, Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea, Montclair Chamber Orchestra, Haddonfield Symphony, Gramercy Brass Band, Schola Cantorium, American Trumpet Ensemble and the Echelon Brass Quintet. Dash has performed with Olivia Newton-John, Marvin Hamlisch, Johnny Mathis, the Four Freshmen and Michael Feinstein and has recorded for Koch International and Albany Records. He received his B.M. degree from Rice University and his M.M. degree from the Manhattan School of Music. His teachers include Armando Ghitalla and Robert Sullivan. Dash has been a member of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008.
